Deadly Shock To Congress: Big Humiliation With Ballot Papers!

The Congress party and its leader, Rahul Gandhi have been protesting across the country against the EVM system. They have been raising concerns against the election commission, not just on the SIR procedure, but also on the discrepancies in the EVM process.

But the very same Congress party has been delivered a brutal shock in Karnataka when the MLC election was held with ballot papers here.

The Congress party ended up conceding all four MLC seats to the opposition NDA alliance (BJP + JD(S)). The BJP won three seats, while the JD(S) secured the remaining one.

The most humiliating result came in the Bengaluru segment where Congress candidate Puttanna, who had been serving as the MLC for five terms ended up losing to the BJP candidate in the graduate MLC election.

The more concerning part for the Congress here is that this MLC election is held in ballot paper procedure, which is exactly what they have been demanding across the country. But the result was so very detrimental that the Congress lost every single MLC seat here by big margins.

It was expected that the Karnataka Congress party would be strengthened with the appointment of DK Shivakumar as the new chief minister, but the reality is suggesting otherwise.

There are complaints about extreme corruption and inadequate administration at the Congress government level. This is briefly reflecting in the MLC election outcome as well. But at the end of the day, the MLC election outcome is not entirely the public mandate, so the Congress will be hoping for a better result in the 2028 assembly election.
