Kamal Haasan Paid ₹150 Crore for Kalki?

Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD boasts a star-studded ensemble cast that includes Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and several other prominent actors. Veteran star Kamal Haasan played the crucial antagonist in the film.

Rumours have it that Kamal Haasan charged an astronomical fee for his role in Kalki 2898 AD, reportedly a whopping Rs 15 crore per day for his call sheet.

Tamil actor Yugi Sethu made the sensational claim, which went viral on Tamil media platforms. These reports became a hot topic on social media.

Since Kamal Haasan worked for about 10 days, his remuneration for Kalki would amount to a staggering Rs 150 crore. This sounds highly impossible and unrealistic.

Even sources close to the film’s makers have dismissed the reports as baseless rumours. Kamal Haasan is known to share a warm relationship with producer Aswini Dutt and his family, making such exorbitant remuneration claims unlikely.

No doubt, Kamal must have been paid a handsome fee for his role, but the Rs 150 crore remuneration is too far from the actual figure, shared an insider.

Kamal Haasan is set to play a significant role in the upcoming sequel, Kalki 2898 AD – Part 2. Director Nag Ashwin made it bigger, better for the Part 2. For some reasons, Deepika Padukone has been replaced as the female lead as well.

As of now, the viral reports about Kamal’s staggering pay cheque appear to be an attention stunt.
