Hyderabad is one of the biggest Metropolitan cities in the country and the land prices here are through the roof. This is the main reasons why the government is fully focussed on safeguarding every single cent of government land.
On that note, we have the case of the highly controversial Miyapur lands controversy involving the government of Telangana and a couple of private individuals. The total extent of this land is around 550 acres, which can convert to thousands of crores in the current economy.
Today, the Supreme Court has brought an end to a 23-year legal battle over more than 550 acres of prime land in Miyapur, Hyderabad, safeguarding valuable public assets worth thousands of crores.
The Supreme Court has officially dismissed all private appeals, bringing a final end to a multi-decade legal battle over Survey Nos. 100 & 101.
Private complainants including P.S. Parthasarathi and his brother Prasad of Goldstone group and associates had been fighting this case for a long time now. But the Supreme Court concluded that these lands belong to the government, and there is no going back from here for private entities.
With this SC verdict in the dispute pending for 23 years, the government stated that hundreds or even thousands of crores worth of government land spanning over 550 acres has been protected.
