Nikhil’s upcoming pan India film Swayambhu is now likely to shift its release from April 10 to April 17, though an official confirmation is still awaited. The teaser created decent buzz, but the team now needs stronger promotions to stay ahead in a crowded April release window.
Films like Adivi Sesh’s Decoit and Sharwanand’s Biker are set to dominate early April with heavy publicity. This makes it important for Swayambhu to step up its marketing, especially with a powerful trailer that highlights its scale and visuals.
There were earlier comparisons with Baahubali, but the team is expected to present more original and striking visuals to build its own identity. Inside reports suggest the film has several high impact episodes, and if promoted well, it could attract family audiences and open strong at the box office.
Directed by Bharat Krishnamachari, the film stars Samyuktha Menon and Nabha Natesh as the female leads. With Peddi arriving on April 30, releasing earlier gives Swayambhu a safe two week window. If the film clicks, it can still hold good screens even after new releases.
Set against a war drama backdrop, Swayambhu features Nikhil in a warrior role, performing several risky stunts, making it one of his most ambitious projects so far.
