Gulte.com’s Journalist Nishant sat with Suniel Narang to discuss the ongoing issue of Percentage System that is rocking the film industry.
We asked him about the dual stand of Telangana Exhibitors who initially opposed the Ticket Prices Hike for Peddi and later, seeking a 7.5% cut in the hiked prices.
When asked about why Telangana Exhibitors are meeting Andhra Pradesh Deputy CM Pawan Kalyan, “It is not like Andhra and Telangana. Pawan Kalyan is our person. Some people have gone there and told him against us. So, we are going to clarify”.
He also spoke about the talk of targeting the films of Mythri.
“We are completely cooperating with Mythri in Peddi but they are not supporting us. He is avoiding our theaters and giving to others,” Suniel said.
When asked if that will not damage Peddi, Suniel said, “You have to ask this question to them. You should always do business with brain not with heart. I always do like that. But he is not doing that”.
He also refused that Percentage System will not go to Lease Owners.
“It is all rubbish. Percentage System is all about getting that additional 10-12 Lakhs to theater owners so that he can survive. Once Percentage System comes, even lease owners will go. They will not give us theaters. Even Lease System will go,” Suniel said.
Suniel Narang also dropped an interesting hint about Imax coming to Hyderabad.
