RT’s Irumudi Censor Report: A Plenty Of Surprises In Store!

Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja’s Irumudi is entering the final stretch ahead of its August 21 theatrical release, and the film seems to have plenty in store beyond the family drama. The film has now cleared its censor formalities with a U/A certificate and has locked a runtime of 2 hours and 25 minutes. For a story that combines multiple genres, the controlled duration is particularly significant, as it should allow the proceedings to move forward without feeling unnecessarily stretched.

Director Shiva Nirvana reportedly builds the film around a strong emotional foundation before gradually introducing the thriller elements. The rural backdrop plays an important role in creating the atmosphere, while the narrative is said to take several unexpected turns as seemingly familiar situations acquire a more intense dimension.

Ravi Teja is said to be presented in a relatively restrained and emotionally driven avatar. His relationship with his on-screen daughter, played by Baby Nakshatra, forms an important part of the story, while the character is also expected to reveal shades that demand considerably more intensity from the actor. The supporting cast, including Priya Bhavani Shankar, Sai Kumar, Ajay Ghosh and Swasika, reportedly has meaningful roles, with some characters said to come with their own surprises.

The Ayyappa Deeksha element is also woven into the narrative rather than being treated merely as a decorative aspect. Shiva Nirvana is said to have used it as part of the protagonist’s characterisation while simultaneously balancing the emotional and suspense-driven portions of the screenplay.

Another potential highlight is the film’s music. GV Prakash Kumar’s songs and background score are expected to complement the changing mood of the narrative, with Mallepoola Pallaki reportedly positioned at an important point in the proceedings. Vishnu Sarma’s cinematography further adds to the film’s appeal, particularly with the natural locations and rural landscapes providing an authentic visual texture.

If the twists, emotional moments and suspense portions deliver as promised, the film could offer audiences a gripping family thriller with a distinctly rooted flavour.
