Ramayana’s first song, Jai Jai Ram has been released today on the occasion of Ganesh Chaturthi. The song, Jai Jai Ram, instantly received positive reactions, with India’s two most popular singers Arijit Singh and Shreya Ghoshal lending their magical voices and thus adding to the song’s appeal. Shreya and Arijit’s vocals have become one of the major talking points around the track.
Earlier, the visual content released from Ramayana has garnered mixed reactions and troubled the makers. However, the musical journey of the epic has started on a positive note giving the much needed relief to its makers.
Jai Jai Ram are three simple words, yet within them lies a complete prayer, said song writer Kumar Vishwas in a social media post. The song is composed by Oscar-winning musician AR Rahman. The powerful lyrics and AR Rahman’s composition, combined with Shreya Goshal and Arijit Singh’s voices have made Jai Jai Ram a special song and it stood out. Thus, the song brought the much needed positivity for the film and compensated for the mixed reactions for its earlier released visual content.
Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, Ramayana is being planned as a two-part epic. The first part is scheduled to release on November 6, while the second part is expected to arrive during Diwali 2027. Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram and Sai Pallavi as Sita are leading the film. Yash plays Ravana, while Sunny Deol will be seen as Hanuman and Rakul Preet Singh as Surpanakha.
With just around two months left for the first part’s release, the positive response to the first song Jai Jai Ram comes as a much-needed boost for Ramayana. It remains to be seen how far this musical momentum can take the film and whether the upcoming promotional content can turn the current curiosity into strong excitement among audiences.
