Vishwak’s CULT Censor: Violence Has A New Face

Mass Ka Das Vishwaksen is known for experimenting with diverse subjects, and he takes on multiple responsibilities as the lead actor, writer, and director of his ambitious project CULT. The film is gearing up for a theatrical release on October 30, just two days away, and has now cleared the censor formalities.

The censor clearance comes as a major relief for the makers, especially at a time when some films have faced censor-related hurdles. Promising extreme violence and unfiltered brutality, CULT ventures into the slasher genre, with its promotional content already offering a glimpse into its dark and disturbing world.

Reports suggest that the censor officials recommended several cuts to the film’s bloody sequences, particularly in the second half, which is said to feature intense bloodshed.

Beyond its brutal killings and intense action, the film is also expected to blend in dark humour. Vishwaksen plays a ruthless Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) from Andhra Pradesh who travels to Goa and finds himself at a party where a series of killings take place. His character is said to have a fierce and unapologetic attitude, adding another intriguing dimension to the narrative.

With a runtime of 2 hours and 30 minutes, CULT is reportedly designed to maintain its intensity and keep audiences engaged from beginning to end. As Vishwaksen pushes the boundaries with this bold attempt, the film promises a bloody cinematic experience that embraces the raw and ruthless nature of the slasher genre.
