Telugu is a very difficult language: Pooja Hegde

The Telugu film industry has been both welcoming and warm, encouraging talents irrespective of their mother tongue and region. Many of our leading actresses are non-Telugu speaking women and Pooja Hedge is one of them. Pooja is a Kannada girl, born and brought up in Mumbai. However, her beauty and talent have made Telugu audience wanting to see her more in South movies.

The actress who has now learnt Telugu and gave dubbing to two of her films said "Telugu is a difficult language because it is not my first language. I have dubbed for Ala Vaikuntapurramlo and I leant how to say a dialogue while performing the scene, instead of dubbing". She added that people in Bollywood think that she hails from Hyderabad and she takes it as a compliment.

She further revealed that after her film Aravina Sametha, people have appreciated her dubbing skills.  Talking about Allu Arjun, her latest co-star in AVPL, Pooja said that she loved their onscreen chemistry and since the duo has worked earlier for DJ, it made easier for her to act with him. When asked about a question on dancing with maverick dancer Allu Arjun, the actress said that she did not share much dance steps with the actor in the film.

"I have worked with great dancers like Hrithik Roshan, and Jr NTR. I am doing another movie with Hrithik again. So I think I'm managing pretty well in grooving along with them".  With her amazing Telugu roles, in 2019 like Sridevi in Gaddalakonda Ganesh and a college student role in Maharshi, Pooja is leaving no stone unturned in getting huge accolades.

Concluding the topic, actresses like Tamannah Bhatia, Rakul Preet, Charmee, Asin, Anushka Shetty, and Nithya Menen who are not Telugu girls are highly admired for learning Telugu languages. And, it is laudable to witness Pooja Hegde falling into this inspiring category.
