Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone has been tested Covid-19 positive. Apart from Deepika, her father Prakash Padukone, mother Ujjala and younger sister Anisha have also tested positive for the coronavirus.
According to media reports, Deepika’s father and former Badminton player Prakash Padukone has been hospitalised for Covid-19 treatment. Reportedly, Prakash is suffering from high fever and he has been admitted to a well-known private hospital in Bengaluru.
There is no official confirmation yet. Meanwhile, the International Indian Film Awards team, who learned about the Padukone family, has conveyed its wish for the speedy recovery of the family. IIFA tweeted, “#DeepikaPadukone has tested positive for Covid-19. Get well soon, Deepika!”
Several persons from the Bollywood fraternity have also wished for the speedy recovery of Padukone family.
On the work front, Deepika has a slew of films in pipeline including Ranveer Singh’s 83, Shakun Batra’s untitled project, Prabhas and Nag Ashwin’s next, the Hindi remake of The Intern, and Hrithik Roshan-starrer Fighter.
