Dog Lovers Trolls Rajamouli For ‘Irresponsible’ Tweet

Rajamouli

Maverick filmmaker SS Rajamouli has landed in controversy for his recent tweets. Just a couple of days back, Rajamouli slammed the authorities of the Delhi Airport for their poor service. In addition to his tweet, he commented that there are many stray dogs outside the exit gate and opined that it will not be a great first impression of India for foreigners. This particular statement didn’t go well with the animal rights activists and they slammed Rajamouli for the same.

Rajamouli’s tweet read, “Dear @DelhiAirport, arrived at 1 AM by Lufthansa flight. Forms were given to fill for the RT PCR test. All the passengers are sitting on the floors or propping against the walls to fill the forms. Not a pretty sight. Providing tables is a simple service.” In addition to this, he added, “And surprised to find so many stray dogs in the hangar outside the exit gate. Again not a great first impression of India for the foreigners. Please look into it. Thank you…”

Animal activists opined that Rajamouli should avoid making such insensible comments on public platforms. They demanded an apology from the Baahubali director for lending out such irresponsible and insensitive comments on animals. Even netizens on social media flooded Rajamouli’s timeline by trolling him for his statements.

As quoted by the Times of India, an animal rights activist from Guntur, J. Suresh said, “Gandhi once said, the greatness of a nation and its moral progress can be judged by the way its animals are treated. I think it’s time everyone recollects that before making this country ‘presentable’ to foreigners. There are numerous things that need to be changed in India so we don’t embarrass ourselves in front of foreigners and street dogs are not the issue there. Eminent personalities like Rajamouli should know better than to make such loose remarks.”
