Bollywood and Business beauties owned the Met Gala 2026 red carpet last night and leading the charge was Isha Ambani, who stunned in a custom Gaurav Gupta saree woven with real gold and over 150 hours of hand-painted Pichwai art. It was her first saree on the Met steps and she said it felt like carrying India’s heritage onto the world’s biggest fashion stage.

The blouse featured over 1,800 carats of diamonds and heirloom jewels from Nita Ambani’s personal collection, and she carried a mango as a bold nod to Indian culture.

And Isha was not alone. Karan Johar, Ananya Birla, and several Indian stars lit up the red carpet, proving that at Met Gala 2026, India did not just show up. India took over.
