A shocking incident has been reported from Andhra Pradesh’s Annamayya district, where a dispute over Talliki Vandanam money allegedly ended in the murder of a young woman. The welfare amount, meant to support children’s education, is believed to have become the reason behind a tragic family dispute.

The victim, Padmavathi, lived in Kothapalli village with her husband Suresh and their two children. According to police, an argument broke out after Suresh allegedly demanded the money that had been credited under the government’s Talliki Vandanam scheme. When Padmavathi refused to part with it, the fight reportedly turned violent.

Police suspect Suresh attacked his wife with a sharp weapon and fled the village soon after the incident. Local residents alerted the authorities, who reached the spot and shifted the body to the Government District Hospital in Madanapalle for post mortem.

Based on a complaint filed by Padmavathi’s family, police registered a murder case and launched a search for the accused. The incident has left the entire village in shock, with the couple’s two children now left without their mother.
