MS Biopic: Rashmika Promises Complete Dedication on the film

The launch of the Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi biopic turned into an emotional celebration as the makers officially unveiled the ambitious pan-India project at the Music Academy in Chennai. Backed by producers Allu Aravind, Rockline Venkatesh, and Bunny Vas, the film is directed by Gowtam Tinnanuri with music by Anirudh Ravichander. Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan inaugurated the film and gave the first clap for Rashmika Mandanna’s opening scene.

Speaking at the launch, Rashmika said she considers portraying M.S. Subbulakshmi a blessing and an enormous responsibility. She shared that receiving the opportunity to play one of India’s greatest cultural icons fills her heart with gratitude and humility.

The actress said being on the stage during M.S. Amma’s 110th birth anniversary felt spiritual, and she believes the legendary singer’s blessings will guide the entire team throughout the making of the film. Rashmika added that she is proud to become a part of such an extraordinary life story.

She assured everyone that she would give her hundred percent to the role and portray M.S. Subbulakshmi with complete sincerity, hoping audiences across generations connect with her performance and embrace the biopic with love and respect.
