Don’t Trouble The Trouble starring Fahadh Faasil is one of the most interesting projects on the current Telugu cinema slate, with SS Karthikeya and Shobu Yarlagadda backing the film. The producers recently opened up about the challenges involved in making the film and the importance of strong preparation.
Interestingly, the makers revealed that the project had its own set of production challenges despite being smaller in scale compared to films like Baahubali and RRR. The film involved around 79 locations, meaning the team had to deal with a new setup almost every day while maintaining quality and staying within budget.
Karthikeya also explained that the film took shape after an initial narration in 2021. The team spent considerable time preparing the project before starting the shoot in October 2025. The shooting was completed by the end of March, followed by nearly six months of post production work.
The producers strongly believe that the delay does not affect the film because the story has a timeless quality. According to them, the emotional core is universal and the story can work irrespective of the period in which it is set.
Interestingly, the conversation also touched upon Rajamouli’s filmmaking process. The producers believe many filmmakers try to imitate the final output of Rajamouli’s films but often overlook the detailed process behind those visuals. For them, the real lesson lies in the preparation, clarity and execution.
Karthikeya and Shobu stressed that pre production plays a crucial role in avoiding delays and controlling costs. Detailed discussions involving the director, cinematographer, production designer and VFX team help everyone understand exactly what needs to be achieved before stepping onto the set.
They also highlighted discipline and communication as two major lessons they learned while working with Rajamouli. Every member of the team needs to understand the plan, while filmmakers should remain open to feedback without compromising their creative vision. According to them, getting these basics right is what ultimately makes a film bigger.
