Telugu NRI Swept Away In US Floods

Over the past few months, many heartbreaking incidents involving Telugu origin individuals have happened in abroad. Some people faced serious health problems suddenly, while others met with bad accidents.

In another shocking incident that took place in USA, a young Telugu NRI named Venkatesh went missing during the ongoing floods. Venkatesh hails from Devarapalli village in the Bapatla district of Andhra Pradesh. He went to USA on H-1B Visa and currently residing in Omaha city.

Reportedly, he got washed away by heavy floodwaters near Wellington in Kansas state a few days ago. His whereabouts are still unknown and efforts are made to trace him.

Venkatesh’s father Doppalapudi Rambabu and the rest of the family in the state of shock and despair. They are in helpless state and unable to gather information about Venkatesh. So they approached their local leader, MLA Eluri Sambasiva Rao. The family requested him to help them find Venkatesh as soon as possible.

The MLA wrote letters to important leaders in the state and central governments. He requested ministers like Rammohan Naidu, Pemmasani Chandrasekhar, and Nara Lokesh to look into the matter. He asked them to talk to the US embassy so that rescue teams can search for the young man and bring him home safely.
