The larger portion of the Indian population that has been travelling to the United States has been going there for working opportunities and securing the H-1B visa for the same. But the current Donald Trump administration is completely against this policy.

Every other day, we hear a new restriction or regulation about the H-1B system and this time, it is Vice president JD Vance who has spoken against the same. JD Vance, who is Usha Vance’s husband, has made a strong statement calling for the H-1B visa programme to be eliminated.

He commented that American companies replacing American workers with foreign migrants is a completely broken system, and he has now called for a complete removal of this procedure. This is a direct statement from the vice president against the H1B work permit policy.

Vice President JD Vance said he would support eliminating the H-1B visa programme altogether, arguing that American companies have misused the system to replace domestic workers with cheaper foreign labour.

Vance described the H-1B programme as “completely broken” and said he would be “very supportive of just eliminating it.”

When the vice president himself is openly speaking against the H1B work permit policy and threatening to scrap the same, the consequences can be pretty significant to the Indian population as well.
