Unlock 2.0: AP Asks For Pass, Centre Says Not Req

The unlock 2.0 has come into effective from today and the Centre has made it clear that there are no restrictions for people to travel from one state to another. With the Centre easing the restrictions, many Andhrites have started to their native places from Hyderabad as Telangana government is considering to impose lockdown again.

This has resulted huge traffic jam on the roads leading to Vijayawada. However, the AP has imposed its own restrictions to enter the state and DGP Gautham Sawang has clarified about the confusion. The DGP said people who wish to travel to AP, must compulsory have a pass. Through ‘Spandana’ portal, people can apply for the pass and the entry timings from morning 7 to evening 7.

After the restricted time, only emergency services and essential commodities will be allowed to enter the AP, stated the DGP Gautham Sawang. In the last 24 hours, hundreds of people without passes were stopped and sent back by the AP police from Pathangi toll plaza.
