Ghulam Nabi Azad Resigns To Congress

In a huge setback for the Congress party, veteran leader from Jammu and Kashmir, Ghulam Nabi Azad has resigned for the party’s primary membership and to all the positions he holds. Azad’s resignation comes weeks after he stepped down as the chairman of J&K Congress campaign committee. Back then he cited health issues.

On quitting Congress, Azad sent his resignation letter to interim President Sonia Gandhi and added that the Indian National Congress (INC) has lost both the will and ability to fight for what is right for India. The situation in the Congress party has reached a point of ‘no return’

Citing this reason, Azad with great regret ended his 50 years association with Congress party. Raking up the issue of Rahul Gandhi, Azad opined that RaGa has the attitude of a child that would do more harm for the party rather than good.

“The leadership in the past eight years has tried to foist a non-serious individual at the helm of the party. The entire organisational election process is a farce and a sham. The situation has only worsened since the 2019 elections after Rahul Gandhi stepped down. All important decisions were being taken by Rahul Gandhi or rather worse his security guards and PAs,” mentioned Azad in his letter to Mrs Gandhi.

In this letter Azad, the true loyalist of Congress, attacked the Gandhis mercilessly. But there is a great pain in his words. Azad is really concerned that the party is not giving a fight to the BJP which is allegedly creating unrest all over the country.
