Jagan Lines Up More Welfare Schemes

The YCP government is focused on the welfare of the minority communities and economically weaker sections. This is evident through the numerous schemes being launched day-in and day-out. In accordance, the AP Cabinet approved a set of welfare schemes including the YSR Aasara, which would benefit the Dwcra women.

As part of it, Rs 6,792 crore would be disbursed to 9.33 lakh SHG groups in the first year. Together in the four years, the government would extend a financial help of Rs 27, 168 crore to the SHG women.

Minister Perni Nani said that under Jagananna Vidya Kanuka, kits would be distributed to students of government schools. The scheme which would benefit 42.32 lakh students would be launched on September 5.

On September 1, the YCP government is planning to launch YSR Sampoorna Poshana for the benefit of pregnant women, new mothers and kids.

The Cabinet also decided to supply quality rice to each household having ration card from December. Over 9,260 vehicles would carry the quality rice to the doorsteps of the beneficiaries, weigh it and then distribute the same.

The YCP government has also decided to issue vehicles to SC, ST and BC youth at subsidised price.

Similarly, the Cabinet also approved implementation of YSR Bima Pathakam to the 583 crore rice card holders.

The Cabinet also gave nod to the new Industrial Policy. It also approved of establishing AP Bulk Drug Corporation. It also gave assent for amendment to the AP Aqua Culture Seed Quality Control Act.

Already, the YCP government has begun implementing Amma Vodi, Pension Kanuka and Jagananna Chedodu. AP Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy had told the officials in clear terms that his focus was on implementation of welfare schemes for which he had designed ‘Navaratnalu’.

The surprising fact here is the YCP government highlighting shortage of funds for development works, including the Capital building, but it is able to churn out money for the numerous welfare schemes.
