Extend lockdown after May 3rd: AP CM YS Jagan

AP CM YS Jagan has categorically said to PM Narendra Modi to extend the lockdown even after May 3rd. PM Modi’s video conference with Chief Ministers of the states concluded a while ago and this meeting lasted for nearly two and half hours.

When it was AP CM Jagan’s turn, he opined that the lockdown should be extended for a few more days. In AP, the Corona cases are on the rise over the last four days and so Jagan wanted the lockdown to be pushed further. The state’s financial hub, Vijayawada is RED ZONE and so are the places like Kurnool and Guntur.

Modi had discussed about the lockdown and exemptions being made to several commercial activities with the CMs.

As of Monday, AP has reported 1,177 while the active cases number is at 911. 31 people have died of the virus in AP.
