Udayanidhi’s Comments: Ram Charan’s Old Tweet Goes Viral

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin’s son Udhayanidhi Stalin recently stirred controversy with his comments about Sanatana Dharma, leading to protests across the nation. Udhayanidhi Stalin’s remarks, stating that Sanatana Dharma is against social justice and should be eradicated, have sparked outrage among various groups, including the BJP.

However, in this row, Mega Powerstar Ram Charan’s old tweet about Sanathana Dharma is being circulated by many in the Telugu states. In the tweet from September 11, 2020, Ram Charan shared a picture of his mother, Surekha Konidela, performing a ritual of worshiping a Tulsi plant at their home.

The tweet is gaining attention again as some movie-loving Hindus retweet it to express their sentiments in light of Udhayanidhi Stalin’s comments.

Udhayanidhi Stalin made comments against Sanathana Dharma during a conference organized by the Tamil Nadu Progressive Writers and Artists Association, where he served as the chief guest. He mentioned that Sanatana Dharma goes against principles of social justice and equality, advocating for its eradication, similar to how one would combat diseases like mosquitoes, dengue, and flu.

These remarks by Udhayanidhi Stalin led to strong objections from BJP leaders in Tamil Nadu, who threatened legal action against him. Despite the controversy, Udhayanidhi Stalin remained firm in his stance.
