BJP To Rectify It’s Mistake In Telangana!

The BJP leadership appears to be acknowledging its missteps in Telangana as it contemplates a strategic shift. Recognizing the negative impact of the change in the state president’s position, the BJP is poised to rectify its decision for the benefit of the party in Telangana.

The BJP high command is reportedly reconsidering its earlier move and is prepared to reinstate Bandi Sanjay as the BJP Chief in Telangana. An official announcement to this effect is expected soon. Sanjay had assumed the role of state president in March 2020 when the BJP’s presence in Telangana was relatively modest. Under his leadership, the party experienced growth in the state, gaining popularity among the people and boosting confidence among party activists. Speculation emerged that the BJP could exert significant influence in the 2023 assembly elections.

However, in an unusual move in July of the same year, the high command appointed Kishan Reddy as the president of Telangana, sidelining Sanjay. This decision led to turmoil within the state BJP, with party leaders expressing dissatisfaction and some members defecting.

Despite winning eight seats in the assembly elections, an improvement from previous results, discontent prevailed. Party insiders suggest that if Sanjay Bandi had remained the president, the BJP might have secured over 20 additional seats in the state. The BJP’s new strategy is aimed at achieving better results in Telangana for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections. There are indications that Sanjay Bandi may be reinstated as the President of Telangana alongside Kishan Reddy, offering the BJP a renewed opportunity for resurgence in the state.
