BRS Closes Shutters In Andhra Pradesh

Months before Telangana elections, KCR fueled his national politics dreams and even changed the name of TRS to BRS. He even promised to be active in AP politics and said a few sitting MLAs are in touch with him. But with the humbling defeat in Telangana elections, KCR’s national politics dreams came down crashing.

BRS has shut down its operations completely in AP with the designated AP BRS President Thota Chandrasekhar moving back to Hyderabad.

The party had no footprint in AP in the past also but KCR tried to project bravado by saying sitting MLAs are in touch with BRS. Thota Chandrasekhar held a couple of meetings after KCR’s announcement to project that BRS has a presence in AP. But there was no movement after that.

With BRS losing power in Telangana itself, there’s no point in running in even talking about its condition in AP. Reportedly, whoever leaders who joined BRS then have now silently moved back to their old parties while some have moved to Congress.

KCR’s only focus now will be on keeping BRS afloat for the next five years in Telangana and he can’t even think about AP at this point. So essentially speaking, BRS is a gone case in AP.
