Janasena Rejects, YCP MLA Goes To BJP

The ruling party of Andhra Pradesh, YSR Congress has been losing its MLAs and MPs before the election and the exodus is not stopping anytime soon. The party has lost another MLA this time and he has taken the unconventional route of joining BJP.

The MLA in question here is Guduru MLA and former MP from Tirupati, Vara Prasad. He quit YSR Congress today and joined the BJP in the presence of Union Minister Anurag Thakur.

Vara Prasad was rejected the Gudur MLA ticket by YSR Congress and he was infuriated by this. He then tried his best to join Janasena and get ahold of an MLA ticket. But Janasena was also not in the position of accommodating him in the party and satisfying his demand for the MLA ticket.

Upon Janasena’s rejection, Vara Prasad seems to have decided that BJP is the best way forward for him so he took the saffron oath and joined the party today. But BJP also has too many aspirants for the seats that it got in the alliance, so realistically speaking, Vara Prasad’s chances of getting a BJP MLA or MP ticket are bleak.
