No Sympathy Towards KCR?

Telangana former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao is facing a déjà vu situation with all his party men deserting him and shifting sides to other parties.

From Kesava Rao to Kadiyam, all the important leaders of the party have abandoned him and surprisingly, it is not evoking any sympathy on KCR. The main reason for such non-chalant attitude is KCR adopting similar unruly policy in pulling leaders of other parties into his BRS, a decade ago.

In 2019, after winning the elections, KCR pulled all the Congress leaders into his party and even merged the CLP into the TRS. He also forced the 3-4 TDP leaders to join the TRS with an aim to eliminate opposition parties in the state.

During discussion on the issue in the Assembly, KCR even said that he could do nothing when the leaders are voluntarily coming into the TRS. “You should be able to retain your leaders. It is not our fault if they are approaching us. It means they have lost confidence in your leadership. Is this unconstitutional? Did we slit anybody’s throat,” he asked.

A decade later, the scene has reversed and with the BRS losing the Assembly elections, now KCR is on the receiving end. BRS’ car is getting emptied. Former minister K.T. Rama Rao even complained to the Speaker to take action against all the turncoats.

However, political observers felt that KCR was facing the same situation which he had indulged happily in a decade ago, but with his position shifting from one end to the other end. Congress leaders are saying that KCR should learn to withhold his party leaders and not complain that they are pulling his men into their party.
