The chief ministers of the Telugu states, Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy are currently taking part in the World Economic Forum. They briefly met at the airport earlier in the day and exchanged a pleasant conversation.
Coming to the topic, now, it is being established that the two chief ministers show their disciplined side right at the start of the Davos trip. They avoided the famous special flight culture and luxury car services on this trip.
Usually, when they representatives of the Telugu states are flying to Zurich, they take special flights right from Vijayawada or Hyderabad. These special flights cost the state exchequer a whopping amount of money as they’re to be specially commissioned for the job. Then, after the arrival of these individuals in Zurich, they board costly cars which are additional baggage.
But in the case of Chandrababu Naidu and Revanth Reddy, they have completely stayed away from luxuries. Babu took a normal flight from Vijayawada to Delhi and then took a connecting flight to Zürich. Despite having the privileges of being the CM, he opted to take normal journey.
Same as the case with Revanth Reddy as well. He too took a normal flight from Singapore to Zürich, along with his fellow cabinet minister, Sridhar Reddy. He the took a train from Zurich to Davos. This is the first time a Telugu state CM took a train to reach Davos.
It was good to see the Telugu states CMs being very cautious about the expenditure. Considering the fact that both Telugu states are riddled with loans and borrowings, every bit of cost cutting is very crucial. In this case, the chief ministers themselves are walking the talk.
