TDP National General Secretary and AP Minister Nara Lokesh is proving his political mettle. Not only in politics but also in governance, Lokesh has been making significant strides. From a party that was reduced to just 23 MLAs and 3 MPs, he played a crucial role in reviving the TDP through his Yuvagalam Padayatra, helping it secure a massive 135 MLAs and 18 MPs in the latest elections.
Seeing this transformation, even his rivals can’t help but acknowledge and appreciate his efforts. A striking example of this happened on Sunday when senior YCP leader and former Nellore MP Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy openly lauded Lokesh. As soon as he saw Lokesh, Mekapati stood up, patted him on the shoulder, and said, “Shabash, Lokesh!”-a rare moment of appreciation from a leader of the rival party.
This incident took place at the Swarna Bharati Trust premises near Venkatagiri in Nellore district during the wedding reception of former Vice President M. Venkaiah Naidu’s grandson. Lokesh attended the event to bless the newlyweds and, while greeting various political leaders from different parties, he encountered Mekapati Rajamohan Reddy.
As soon as Lokesh greeted him, Mekapati, who was seated on a sofa, immediately stood up and praised him. He not only commended Lokesh’s leadership within the party but also acknowledged his administrative skills, showering him with praise.
A video of this interaction surfaced on social media on Monday and quickly went viral.
