Back when YS Jagan was the chief minister of Andhra Pradesh, he had the fascination of having his images on the school uniforms and stationary supplies. This reached a point where even school bags and geometry boxes that were distributed to school kids had Jagan‘s photo on them.
After chief minister, Chandrababu took charge, he could have dismantled these supplies, which had Jagan’s image. But he thought like a state man and allowed for these supplies to be distributed to kids in order to not waste public resources.
However, the NDA government has made a strong note of this point and education minister Nara Lokesh has now done something remarkable on this front. Under the instructions of mikister Lokesh, the government has now prepared a new uniform for government schools in Andhra Pradesh and this completely free from any political interference or party colors.
The new uniform that has been prepared for government schools has a neutral green colour scheme and the designing is on par with any leading private school in the state.
More importantly, the newly designed uniform absolutely has no political colours or imagery of any politician. This is a totally welcome change from the Jagan tenure where even bags and kits had Jagan’s photo on them. While this ploy obviously failed miserably for YCP, it is going to that TDP has learned a lesson from this and acted accordingly.
Lokesh had already promised to deliver the best possible education and support system to school students and he is walking the talk now.
