Even six years after its occurrence, the YS Viveka murder case is still continuing to make headlines in Andhra Pradesh politics. More concerningly, several witnesses and people who are potentially associated with the case have been dying one after another, mysteriously.
The list of people related to the case who had died till now include;
- Key witness K. Srinivasa Reddy passed away on (02.09.2019).
- Gangadhar Reddy passed away under suspicious circumstances on (09.06.2022).
- Dr. E.C. Gangireddy, the father of Bharati Reddy (who filed complaints), also died under suspicious circumstances.
- Y. S. Abhishek Reddy, the younger brother of Jagan Reddy, who allegedly assisted in filing complaints, also died at a young age under suspicious circumstances.
- Just Last week, it was Viveka’s house watchman, Ranganna.
In this context, the government of Andhra Pradesh and the police department has decided to enhance the security arrangement for Dastagiri, who had earlier served as Viveka’s car driver.
Dastagiri, who got arrested in the case and later turned into an approver had been rolling around with 1+1 security all these days after he was released on bail. Now, in view of the mysterious deaths of those associated with the case, the police department has decided to amplify his security. In accordance, he has been given 2+2 police security on immediate basis.
Dastagiri happens to be one of the few living people related to the case and he needs to be protected to safeguard the hard facts of the case.
