It is a certain fact that Artificial intelligence, AI is going to be the future of global tech industry. So it is increasingly important that the current generation of students prepare themselves for the AI transition and train their curriculum accordingly.
Incidentally, Andhra Pradesh IT minister Nara Lokesh, who is currently on a visit to San Francisco met with open AI CTO Srinivas Narayanan, and had an elongated conversation with him.
In this conversation, Lokesh invited OpenAI, which is the parent company for ChatGPT to integrate their mechanisms in Andhra Pradesh’s educational curriculum. He then launched the idea of establishing an AI university in Andhra Pradesh with support from OpenAI.
On this occasion, Lokesh communicated that the AP government is considering providing free ChatGPT to undergraduate students and school students in AP in the initial phase. He further urged an OpenAI collaboration with the Andhra Pradesh government to establish an AI university in AP.
Considering the importance of the AI curriculum, right from the educational level, if Lokesh can convince OpenAI to Integrate their mechanisms with Andhra Pradesh education system, this could be a game changer for the state. This would train the students in AI revolution, which would not just help in job creation, but also tech entrepreneurship from the fundamental level.
