The World Economic Forum summit held every year in Davos, Switzerland, has long seen the presence of Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Nara Chandrababu Naidu. Over the years, he turned it into a regular platform to attract global investments to the state.
What began as an individual effort later became a broader trend, with the Indian government and several states now sending official delegations to the summit every year.
The 2026 edition of the WEF summit, scheduled for January, will once again see the participation of Chandrababu Naidu along with neighbouring Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy. In total, eight chief ministers from India are expected to attend the global event, including the leaders of both Telugu states.
Interestingly, both Chandrababu and Revanth had also attended the 2025 summit, though their approaches differed. Chandrababu focused mainly on strategic discussions and long term commitments rather than signing MoUs immediately, many of which later translated into concrete business deals. Revanth, on the other hand, adopted a more direct approach by signing several MoUs on the spot.
At Davos 2026, both chief ministers are once again expected to push hard for top global investments, aiming to bring major companies to their respective states.
