The YSRCP leaders is being absolutely cornered in connection with Tirumala Laddu fiasco. With several fingers pointing at them for careless approach taken during their tenure toward the Laddu issue, it’s now the turn of DCM Pawan Kalyan to do the same.
A couple of days back, Pawan Kalyan had clearly demonstrated that the previous TTD leadership, including the chairman, Subba Reddy had an idea about the contamination and adulteration but they still didn’t take necessary steps.
Kalyan clearly stated that the previous leadership had reports of adulteration back in 2022 itself, but they decided not to act on it and not even bring these details into the public. He alleged that the YCP administration knew about the adulation in Tirumala, but still went on with it, meaning they did it intentionally.
In this context, an old tweet of the then TTD chairman Subba Reddy is being dug up by Pawan Kalyan fans. Back in 2022, Subba Reddy had tweeted “I have ordered the officials to send the elachi and ghee to the government lab for testing, as I have a suspicion that even their quality is not up to the mark.”
But the point to be noted here is that despite the objection raised by the TTD chairman, there were no consolidated measures or lab reports to identify the adulteration process. This is precisely what Kalyan is saying when he is pointing out that the previous administration knew about the alteration activities, but didn’t measures to rectify it.
