Andhra Pradesh politics are generally never shot of entertainment and active contradiction. This was again on display when former chief minister YS Jagan targeted IT Minister Lokesh regarding his present appearances at cricket matches.
Jagan questioned the need for Lokesh to attend cricket matches in stadiums while he can watch the same games on TV at his house. Sakshi media run and entire story surrounding this, saying Lokesh is spending crores of public money on flights and hotels to watch these cricket games.
However, Lokesh had a very strong reaction to the same as he clearly stated that he is spending only his own money and never did he touch a single rupee from the government. Adding to that, Lokesh threw a bumper offer to Jagan.
“It is my own wish to decide whether I need to watch cricket matches on TV or in stadium. I will again go to the stadium if India qualifies to the finals of the T20 World Cup. If Jagan wants to join me, then I will buy him a ticket as well.” Lokesh said in the chitchat session with Telugu media today.
It appears that Lokesh is not bogged down by the media activity by YCP in the last few days where they’ve been targeting the IT minister in this regard. In fact, he has even confirmed that he would be attending the next game of India if they qualify to the finals.
Of all the topics, it is strange to see Andhra Pradesh politics revolve around Tirumala Laddu and Lokesh’s cricket matches appearances.
