The other day, Kalvakuntla Kavitha had a Darshan in Tirumala to thank God after getting Clean Chit in the Delhi Liquor Scam. After Darshan, she spoke to the media and thanked her supporters in Andhra for their support in her tough times.
Kavitha attracted the media and everybody’s attention by saying ‘Jai Andhra‘. This has become a talking point in the media for the entire day.
Kavitha and the KCR family, after the Bifurcation, picked up this habit of playing to the galleries with respect to Andhra Pradesh. We have previously seen KCR saying that he would fight for the Special Status for Andhra Pradesh.
Just before the 2023 elections in Telangana, we have seen BRS start a new wing in Andhra Pradesh and then, KTR announced that they would bid for Vishaka Steel Plant.
We know how few BRS leaders behave with respect to Andhra Pradesh on other days. These are the same leaders who blocked the division of assets and liabilities of 142 institutions present under Section 9 and 10 of Andhra Pradesh Reorganization Act.
These institutions have 16000 Crore deposits in their bank accounts. The value of the lands and the assets of these institutions run in to another 10000 Crore. Despite the Supreme’s directive, the KCR Government did not cooperate with the division.
The then, KCR Government did not even pay to Power supplied to Telangana by Andhra Pradesh after the bifurcation. Only a few days ago, Kavitha even opposed the statue of SP Balasubrahmaniam in Ravindra Bharathi.
But then, KCR’s family are known as good orators and they know how to play to the galleries just for some media space.
And then, such statements are often picked by YSR Congress leaders so as to irk the TDP supporters. But then, time and again, it is proved that those statements mean nothing to Andhra Pradesh.
