YSR Congress is cribbing about not getting enough time in Rajya Sabha to speak on the Amendment to AP Reorganization Act to include Amaravati as the Capital.
The Party’s Floor Leader, YV Subba Reddy complained to the Chairman and Vice-Chairman that their voice is throttled as they got just five minutes to speak while TDP and BRS got more time than them despite having less MPs.
Subba Reddy should be thanking their stars for not getting enough time. If they were allowed to speak for ever, YSR Congress MPs would lose their senses and go ranting against Amaravati.
No one in their right senses would do that to their own Capital. But then, YSR Congress is very different in that aspect.
If they were allowed to speak, they would only shame themselves before the MPs of the other states.
It is interesting to note that Trinamool Congress MP Nadeemul Haq who was sitting right beside YV Subba Reddy also spoke in favor of Amaravati. He even finished his speech with ‘Jai Andhra’ slogan.
“Even though I hail from Bengal, I have understood the plight of the farmers of Amaravati. If Andhra Pradesh is to develop, it is possible only through Amaravati. That is why I extend my full support to this bill!”—concluding thus, he loudly chanted, “Jai Andhra!”
It is a shame that the MPs of our own state positioned themselves against the interests of the state just for the sake of Petty Politics.
Meanwhile, Jagan’s MA-VI-Gun idea has become a laughing stock on social media. We know how the former CM suggested a Plan B for the capital between Machilipatnam, Vijayawada, and Guntur calling it MA-VI-GUN.
Social Media Platforms like X, Instagram, Snapchat, etc are flooded with memes and jocks mocking Jagan Mohan Reddy.
