Union Cabinet had approved two important proposals regarding Amaravati. It had sanctioned two projects worth 2,534 Crore.
A Central Government Offices (CGO) complex is being planned with an estimate of 1,299 Crores. All the Union Government offices are being planned in this Complex making all services available under one roof like in no other state.
It will be a construction of 11 massive towers across a 17-acre site, featuring 1,504 state-of-the-art flats and underground parking for 1,972 cars.
Another 1,235 Crores have been sanctioned for the residences of the Union Government employees.
The CGO Complex in Amaravati will be built at a cost of ₹1,299 crore and will house all central government offices under one roof. The square shaped complex will consist of two massive blocks spread across 5.53 acres. The state of the art structures will have 10 and 13 floors with a combined built up area of 23.25 lakh square feet. The complex can accommodate around 8,000 employees and will provide parking for 1,800 cars. It will also include a bank, ATM and post office.
The building design adheres to green building standards, includes special facilities for the differently abled, aims to achieve a GRIHA 4 Star rating with a strong focus on environmental sustainability, and ensures a barrier free environment.
The Telugu Desam Party is an important partner in the NDA Government in Delhi and Chandrababu Naidu is maintaining coordial relations. That is ensuring funds to the state.
The next three years are going to be very important for the future of Amaravati. On one side, there is Jagan Mohan Reddy who is openly threatening to change the capital if voted to Power in 2029. There should be remarkable progress by then so that there will be no going back.
