Criminals Are Lucky That I’m Not Home Minister: Pawan

Andhra Pradesh, deputy chief minister, Pawan Kalyan has been registering substantial progress with regard to forestry and also Panchayat Raj ministries. He has been displaying dynamic development with regard to both these extensions of his administration.

Now Kalyan has commented that criminals in Andhra Pradesh can consider themselves lucky that he is not the home Minister of the state.

“If I was the Home Minister of Andhra Pradesh, there would have been severe consequences for criminals and those who support them, but I am not, which is why they are lucky,” Pawan Kalyan said.

“We have a particular party leader who goes to jail and supports his party MLC, who allegedly murdered his driver. I am the kind of person who would deal very strictly with criminals.”

This was followed by another comment from Kalyan, as he said criminals do not have any community or caste equations, and they are to be kept away from the society at all times.

Pawan Kalyan surely is a dynamic personality not just in terms of politics, but also at a personal level, so there could be radical changes if he holds a crucial ministry like home affairs.

The deputy chief minister appears to have his site on additional portfolios and that is reflecting in his speech today. But cabinet allocation is very conscious and needs a lot of attention so any decisive changes are not evident at this point in time.
