How Much Compensation Priyanka’s Family Received?

The family of Dr Priyanka, a 28 year old postgraduate medical student, will receive ₹40 lakh financial support following her tragic death in a road accident.

Priyanka was pursuing MD Dermatology at GSL Medical College. She suffered serious injuries in a hit and run accident in Rajamahendravaram on August 3 while travelling on a two wheeler. She was later shifted to KIMS Hospital in Hyderabad for treatment but died on August 9.

Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu announced ₹20 lakh assistance to her family. GSL Medical College management also announced another ₹20 lakh.

Police have arrested two people in connection with the accident. The accused are currently in judicial custody.

The financial assistance is aimed at supporting Priyanka’s family as they cope with the loss of a young doctor whose career was cut short by the tragic accident.
