Konda Surekha To Get Cabinet Rank Post?

Konda Surekha’s next political move has become a talking point in Telangana Congress. After her daughter Sushmitha’s controversial comments against Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, Surekha was removed from the cabinet as part of the disciplinary action. Now, there is fresh buzz that the Congress high command is looking to offer her another key position.

Reports suggest that Surekha has been asked to come to Delhi after the Vinayaka Chavithi celebrations. The party is reportedly considering her name for the RTC Chairman post, which carries cabinet rank. However, the high command is said to be cautious about directly discussing the offer and wants to first calm her down and understand her stand.

Interestingly, Surekha is said to be thinking more about her daughter Sushmitha’s political future. After spending more than two decades in politics and holding several positions, she reportedly wants to build a strong political path for her daughter. This time, instead of making any hasty move, Surekha has been maintaining a more careful approach.

Even after being removed from the cabinet, Surekha did not make any aggressive statements against the Congress leadership. She made it clear that she would continue with the party and said that making Rahul Gandhi the Prime Minister remains her goal. Her approach has reportedly made the Congress leadership think about her future role in the party.

After staying away from public view for nearly ten days, Surekha recently met key party workers and supporters at her residence in Hanamkonda. With the Delhi call now adding to the political buzz, all eyes are on whom she will meet and what discussions will take place. She is expected to meet senior leaders including Mallikarjun Kharge and KC Venugopal, making her Delhi visit politically significant.
