It’s Official: Kavitha Preparing For 1st Election In Telangana!

It has been around a year since Kalvakuntla Kavitha launched her own political battle in Telangana, and she is on the mission of gaining identity here. Now the stage is set for her first electoral battle, which is going to be the upcoming Khairatabad by election.

This seat got vacant after the Telangana High Court dismissed the candidature of Danam Nagender who won from the BRS party and shifted to the Congress. The Supreme Court also decided not to intervene in this matter, and this would essentially mean that Nagender has lost his MLA position.

It should be a matter of time before the Khairtabad Assembly constituency goes for by election and this is opening up a new political horizon.

Incidentally, Kavita was asked if she would be preparing her party for its first election in Telangana by contesting the Khairatabad assembly constituency.

“Hundred percent, we will definitely contest this seat. We don’t know who will be contesting on our behalf, but we will definitely be fielding our candidate.” Kavitha said.

This is a strong indication that the TRS, which is coming to existence in Telangana will be definitely contesting the upcoming election, and it will be the first challenge for Kavitha. Till now, she had the backing of the BRS ecosystem in the election, but that will not be the case as she launches her own battle with TRS.

Considering the fact that this will be the first election campaign for the TRS, Kavitha will be determined to put up a strong performance, and this will start with the candidate that she picks. Only time will tell if the first political activity of Kavitha in active election would be successful or not.
