Corona Has A Right To Live: Ex-CM

While the second wave of coronavirus is raging in India and we are witnessing more than three lakh cases every day, politicians are busy blaming each other and making silly statements rather than fighting against the pandemic. Every day, we hear about a politician making some silly remarks on the ongoing pandemic. Now, Uttarakhand’s former Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat joins the list.

Rawat made controversial statements the other day by saying COVID-19 is also a living organism and it has the right to live, just like humans. He also added that as we are after it, the virus is now constantly changing its form and attacking us. Rawat made these statements while speaking to a local newspaper in Uttarakhand.

The other political leaders and netizens slammed Rawat for making such insensitive comments on the pandemic. They also termed his statements, ‘foolish.’ This is not the first time Rawat made such bizarre comments. Earlier, he said that the cow is the only animal that inhales and exhales oxygen. Rawat was also dropped by BJP abruptly earlier this year.
