A footwear shop in Kozhikode triggered chaos after announcing premium shoes for just Re 1 to the first 100 customers. Hundreds gathered from early morning, causing heavy crowding and traffic disruption. Police had to conduct a mild lathicharge to control the situation. Authorities later detained the shop owners for poor crowd management.
