A Colombia Air Force Lockheed C-130 Hercules transport aircraft crashed shortly after takeoff from Puerto Leguízamo in the Amazon region. The plane was carrying about 125 people, including over 110 soldiers. At least 34 people were killed, while 80+ survivors were hospitalized. The aircraft went down in a forest area a few kilometers from the airport, and authorities have launched an investigation.
