King 100 FL: Ashok Selvan Brings Madness As Karna

Nagarjuna’s much-awaited King 100, directed by Ra Karthik in his first Telugu outing and produced by Annapurna Studios, is gearing up to reach theatres worldwide on December 24. The first look posters of Nagarjuna and Tabu made strong impression. Meanwhile, Ashok Selvan is introduced as Karna in a powerful first look released by the makers to mark his birthday.

The poster creates an impact through its attitude and striking visual detailing. Ashok Selvan brings out the character’s madness as he sits in a chair, with his long hair and thick beard adding to his rugged appearance. His relaxed body language, coupled with the cigarette in his hand, creates an unsettling contrast.

The khaki police uniform casually placed beside him and the prominent king chess piece in the foreground further hint at a character with several unpredictable shades. The first look presents Karna as someone who is difficult to read, and Ashok Selvan appears to have undergone a distinctive transformation for the part.

The combination of Nagarjuna, Tabu and Ashok Selvan gives the film an interesting ensemble, with the makers gradually introducing the personalities that form its world. Each reveal is adding a fresh element to the promotional campaign.
