Indian-Flagged Vessel Faces Engine Failure Near Oman

The Indian-flagged mechanised sailing vessel Virat 1, carrying 14 Indian crew members, suffered an engine failure off the coast of Oman, the Indian Mission said. All crew safely moved to a liferaft. Search and rescue operations are underway with Omani authorities coordinating assistance and nearby vessels participating in the ongoing mission.
