Passenger Ship With 240 On Board Goes Missing

A passenger ship named Virgo Transport 8 went missing in the Java Sea of Indonesia early Sunday with 241 people on board. The vessel lost all contact around 2:00 AM while sailing from Surabaya toward Banjarmasin. Officials say bad weather hit the area shortly before it disappeared. Rescue teams have launched a search near its last known position.
