Nara Devansh Wins World Record in London!

Nara Devansh, grandson of AP CM Chandrababu, has won the World Book of Records Award 2025. He was honored as the Fastest Checkmate Solver after solving 175 tough chess puzzles in very little time.

The award function was held at Westminster Hall in London, where Devansh received the award. His father Nara Lokesh attended the event and said this was a very proud and special moment for their family.

Last year, Devansh took part in a Checkmate Marathon where he solved 175 puzzles from Laszlo Polgar’s famous book “5334 Problems and Games.” These puzzles test speed, accuracy, and thinking power. Devansh solved them faster than anyone else, creating a world record.

Lokesh said, “Seeing Devansh get this award in London is a proud moment. His focus, hard work, and talent at a young age made this possible. This award is the best gift for his effort.”

Earlier too, Devansh set two world records — finishing the 7-disk Tower of Hanoi in just 1 minute 43 seconds, and arranging 32 chess pieces on 9 boards in under 5 minutes.

With this new honor, Devansh has brought pride not only to his family but also to India in the world of chess.
