Hardik Under Rohit’s Captaincy, Mumbai Doing Unthinkable?

And now there are extensive reports that Hardik Pandya could be sent out of Mumbai Indians in a trade deal before the 2027 season. But time is running out quickly and a final deal is not being established for Hardik to move a different team yet.

On that note, the latest development are suggesting that Mumbai is anyway, considering the idea of bringing back Rohit Sharma as the captain of the team and it should be a matter of time before this happens.

If this actually turns out to be the case, then this would be one of the most ridiculous outcomes in recent years of IPL history. First Rohit Sharma was replaced as the captain by Hardik, who came from Gujarat and this backfired badly. Now there is another twist as Rohit could be returning to the captaincy position with Hardik playing under him again.

This has to be one of the most unthinkable implementations in IPL history if it actually turns out to be the case, and Mumbai appears to be actually preparing for the same.
