SRH Vs RCB: Bad Loss, Kohli All Time Record And More!

One of the crucial games of the ongoing IPL season was held tonight as the season opener between Royal Challengers Bengaluru and Sunrisers Hyderabad progressed on an entertaining note.

Sunrisers Hyderabad batted first and they scored a reasonable score of 200 runs in the first innings. This was large due to the excellent batting efforts of Ishaan Kishan and Aniket Verma. There was very little support from the rest of the batting lineup.

In response to this Royal Challengers Bengaluru, who happened to be the defending champions this year, put on a clinical performance with the bat. The defending champions were on the job right from the opening over and they completed a remarkable victory against SRH.

Virat Kohli has set a new all day record in IPL history by becoming the first player in the tournament to reach 4000 runs. He was phenomenal with the bat as he scored 71 runs while chasing a big target of 200.

This is a very damaging start to Sunrisers Hyderabad as they considered over 200 runs in under 16 overs(15.4 to be precise). While the batting department is expected to come good in the next few games, the bowling is a major concern here.

Sunrisers badly need their captain Pat Cummins to return to the team at the earliest as his experience and fighting spirit could be major contributing factors. The rest of the team also needs a strong fighting spirit at the earliest.
